He did his LL.B from Calcutta University in 2001 and LL.M from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, in 2005. He was awarded the Nani .V. Pallkiwala Gold Medal for overall best performance in LL.M. Thereafter he has been recipient of a Tuition Merit Scholarship from the Case Western Reserve University to pursue a second LL.M degree in U.S in 2007, but he declined for personal reasons. Recently he was awarded a SUN Scholarship from the Central European University (CEU), Budapest, Hungary, to participate in the course entitled "Teaching Law, Human Rights and Ethics".

PUBLICATIONS

• Written a dissertation for the LL.M Course of WBNUJS on "STUDY OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF JUVENILE JUSTICE (CARE & PROTECTION) ACT 2000 IN THE STATE OF WEST BENGAL" (Unpublished).
• USE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE IN CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION AND TRIAL IN INDIA-AN EMPIRICAL STUDY, Published in the Annual Journal Published by the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Govt. Of India, 2008.

• Presented a paper on "THE SCOPE FOR DEVELOPING INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION IN INDIA", in a Seminar on Alternative Dispute Resolution organized by American Center on 29th September 2005 in the American Center, Kolkata.
• Presented a paper titled "SECURING ACCESS TO BIOLOGICAL RESOURCES AND BENEFIT SHARING MECHANISM- A STUDY OF THE INDIAN LEGAL FRAME WORK", in the 1st National Conference on Conservation of Bio-diversity and Access to Benefit-Sharing, Organized by Mizoram University in association with UNDP & ICMOD in July 2007 at Izawal, Mizoram.
• Presented a paper titled "MAKING THE LEGAL AID CLINIC MORE VIBRANT - AN ANALYSIS OF THE WBNUJS APPROACH" in the 5th Regional Training of Teachers Workshop on Clinical Legal Education, organized by MILAT on 18-20 December 2007, at Kolkata.
• Presented a paper titled "COPYRIGHT ISSUES OF E- PUBLICATIONS AND INDIAN COPYRIGHT LAW: AN ANALYSIS" in the National Conference on Intellectual Property Rights, organized by Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur on 28th -29th February and 1st March 2008.
