Anupama Ghosal

Anupama Ghosal passed Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Examinations from Modern High School in 1994 and 1996 respectively securing a First Division. She did her B.A.(Hons.) in Political Science from Jadavpur University (1999), standing 1st in the 1st class and received the University gold medal. She completed Masters in International Relations from the same University in 2001 and again stood 1st in the 1st class and received the University gold medal. Her area of specialization at the Master's level was South-East Asia. She was awarded as the "Best Girl Graduate (Arts Faculty)" in 2001 from the same University. Besides receiving Jadavpur University Gold Medals, she is also the recipient of the National Scholarship (under National Scholarship Scheme, Govt. of India) in 1999-2000, Hemendra Chandra Rakshit Memorial Award (1999), Jadavpur University Alumni Annual Award (2000-2001) and Prithwish Chandra Chakraborty Silver Medal.

Between 2002-2003, Ms. Ghosal has been associated as Guest Faculty in Shivnath Shastri College, Gokhale Memorial Girls' College and Shri Shikshayatan College. She served as a full time lecturer at Kalyani Mahavidyalaya (College) from May 2003 to January 2005. From January 2005, she is a member of the faculty of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, (WBNUJS) Kolkata. At present, she is teaching a Compulsory Course in Political Science to the First Year LL.B students. She also teaches an Optional Course in International Relations and Contemporary Global Issues to the Fifth Year LL.B students as well as to the LLM students of WBNUJS. She is engaged in higher researches for the PhD degree in the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Anupama is an enthusiastic person, organizing, hosting, managing and participating in various cultural programmes, excursions, seminars and various community development projects. She authored some interesting write-ups some of which have been published. She is associated with some organizations who are involved in charitable activities. Her extra-curricular activities include participation in different branches of vocal music. She has already rendered quite a number of CDs, Cassettes and records. She has visited different parts of India, Bangladesh, USA and UK for her musical performances.
