  1. Awarded the degree of Doctorate of Philosophy in Sociology from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata in July 2008 on the research titled, Gendered Construction on Culture of Silence/Insignificant Articulation
  2. Completed Masters degree in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 2000
  3. Completed Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Presidency College, Kolkata in 1998
  4. Been a part of the International Leadership Programme for the SAARC region on Human Rights organized by the US State Department in 2007
  5. Guest Lecturer at the Department of Sociology, Jadavpur University teaching an Optional course on Sociology of Gender
