Rules & Regulations
- No bags / folders / newspapers will be
allowed inside the library.
- Mobile phones are to be kept on silent mode
in the library premises.
- Personal books are allowed in the Library
for consultation. [Rules & Form] Files/folders
are out of bound..
- No unauthorised outsiders or visitors will
be allowed inside or to avail of the library
facilities.
- Users are not to replace books on the racks
after reading. They are to place the books on
the table in the respective rooms. Library staff
will shelve the books.
- Users are requested not to have discussions
in the Reading Room as the resonance is very
high and is distracting to those trying to study
or read.
BOOK ISSUE
- LL.B. students will be issued 1 book at a
time for 3 days against their Library Lending
Card.
- Books can be re-issued once only if it is
not reserved.
- Students can reserve one book at a time.
- Reserved titles will be retained for a day.
In case of multiple reservations, the title will
be passed on to the next person in queue on the
second day.
- Books issued will not be allowed inside the
library.
- Library users will be required to submit
their books for inspection to the authorised
staff at the Library exit.
DEFAULTERS (those who return books after the due date)
- Defaulter’s library Lending Card will be frozen for 3 days.
- In extraordinary situations fine will be levied from the defaulter. Decision of the library committee will be final in this regard.
JOURNALS
- Bound back volumes of journals are available for REFERENCE only.
- Loose issues of the current year will be given against a
Requisition Form filled and submitted at the Library Counter.
- Students will be held responsible for loose journals that have been given for photocopying.
- Vandalism of journals / books will result in the student’s card being confiscated and barred from using all library facilities.
