Post-Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law

The Aims & Objectives of the Course:
This course, offered under the aegis of the NUJS IPR Chair, - aims to acquaint and familiarise students with the broad contours of intellectual property rights, their social context & historical evolution, the laws that pertain to the same, and their practical application.

The specific modules taught, will be:
(i) Introduction to Intellectual Property Rights
(ii) The Law of Trade Marks
(iii) The Law of Designs
(iv) Geographical Indications & Intellectual Property Rights
(v) The Law of Copyrights
(vi) The Law of Patents
(vii) Biodiversity & Intellectual Property Rights
(viii) Intellectual Property & Plant Variety Protection Rights
(ix) Traditional Knowledge & Laws Pertaining Thereto

Eligibility Criteria: A bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Course Duration: This course shall run for a total duration of 12 months, commencing from July, 2017 to June, 2018.

Contact Class Schedule: Bearing in mind the possible time-constraints that may be faced by the prospective students, - the contact classes for the course will be held every Saturday.

Course Fee: The stipulated fee for this course is Rs 20,000/- per head with students being afforded the option of paying in two equal instalments.
