One Day Workshop on Technology and Law in an AI Driven Society

A one day workshop on Technology and Law in an AI Driven Society was conducted on 8th August, 2022, in hybrid mode, by the combined efforts of WBNUJS and TCG Crest.
The program was inaugurated at 10 AM by an address by the Vice Chancellor, WBNUJS, followed by an address by Prasenjit Majumder, TCG Crest. The following two sessions addressed the issues of data privacy and transparency and financial technologies. A panel discussion was also conducted on the use of technology in the legal domain, industry expectations, and career prospects. Post-lunch, a technology hands-on session was conducted by TCG-Crest, followed by a discussion on legal liabilities of AI and person-hood.
The program was concluded at 4:50 PM, with a valedictory session.
