National Evaluative Conference on GST@5

The Centre for Financial and Regulatory Governance Studies, WBNUJS with the Support of the Finance Department of the Government of West Bengal and in collaboration with All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (EZ) hosted the ‘ National Evaluative Conference on GST@5 ‘ 20th to 22nd January 2023 and is pleased to announce that the conference was a huge success. With so many enlightening speakers on the same podium, we got some great insights on the success and challenges of GST from the perspective of different professionals and traders. The event commenced with the lighting of the Lamp by Dr. Amit Mitra, Chief Guest and Keynote speaker of the event, enlightening us with his opinions regarding the challenges of GST and the way forward. Deliberations over the topic took place with different opinions coming up from some of the best minds in the country including, Dr. Manoj Pant Addl. Chief Secy Finance, Mr. Khalid Aizaz Anwar, Mr. Sarthak Saxena, Mr. Rajib Sankar Sengupta, Sr. Adv. V. Raghuraman, Dr. Shiju MV, Dr. T.M. Thomas Issac, Dr. P. K. Mohanty, Mr.Arun Kumar Agarwal, Mr. Venugopal Gella, Mr. Pankaj Ghiya, Ragini Goel, Mr. Abhishek Agarwal, Mr. Nagendra Kumar, Mr. Tarun Gupta, Mr. Venkata Ramani, Mr. Joyjit Banik, Mr. Jatin Christopher, Mr. Sudipta Bhattacharjee, Mr. Surya Prakash, Mr. Vipul Kundalia, Mr. Sanjib Kothari, Mr. Sushil Poddar, Mr.Pulak Saha . It was truly an enriching experience for both the faculty, the students and the audience which came to attend the event. The Centre looks forward to organizing similar events in the future.
