Soumya Saha

Bio-note

Soumya Saha is as a University Junior Research Fellow and a PhD Scholar in the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata. He has completed his BA and MA in Political Science from Presidency University, Kolkata, where his Masters dissertation was on “Understanding the relationship between colonial modernity and Hindutva”. He qualified the UGC-NET in December, 2019.
He has taught papers including Political Theory, Organisation and Organs of Government, Political Evolution of the Indian Constitution and so on, as a Guest Lecturer in Department of Law, University of Calcutta. Along with with Dr. Pradip Basu of the Department of Political Science, Presidency University, Kolkata, he is the co-founder of the social media academic platform, eSpartacus, which focuses on organizing and conducting academic interviews of scholars, writers and administrators, on issues concerning politics and society. He has also worked as a Research investigator in the research project on “Discoursing the Homeless Elderly: Tropes, Desires and Containment” sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
His research interests include Citizenship Law, Indian Politics and Political Theory, regarding which he has presented and written, papers and book chapters.
