Dr. Bhavya Srivastava

Dr. Bhavya Srivastava is currently serving as an assistant professor in the School of Forensic Science, The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan, Kolkata. She worked as former assistant professor at the Department of Applied Chemistry, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (Deemed to be University). She pursued her M.Sc. in Forensic Science from the Department Of Chemistry, Institute of Basic Sciences, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. She received P.G. Diploma in Forensic Science from the Department Of Anthropology, Lucknow University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2017 from the Department Of Chemistry, Shikha Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan, West Bengal, India. She joined the department of Chemistry, University of Calcutta as a CSIR-RA (research associate) during the period 2019-2021 on the project “Analysis of Sorbitol in Serum Samples in Context with Diabetic Neuropathy: Spectroscopic Studies of Sorbitol-Caffeine Interactions for Plausible Remediation”. Her research covers several aspects in the field of toxic metal analysis, blood and serum samples analysis and analytical techniques. She is the author or coauthor of around 18 papers in international refereed journals. She has received several important recognitions to her research career as NET-JRF extended to SRF by UGC, New Delhi, Govt. of India, CSIR-RA Fellowship by CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India. Prizes in various oral and poster presentations, Conference Merit Award in “Ninth Polymer Award Function & National Seminar on ‘Multifunctional Polymer Materials’ ‘Poly – 2014’ (National Seminar 2015” in Department of Chemistry, Shikha Bhavana, Visva Bharati, S. S. Bhatnagar Young Scientist Award in “Recent Advances in Chemistry & Material Sciences (2020)” (International Seminar Month long Program for August, 2020) and Indian Chemical Society Research Excellence Award in “Recent Trends In Chemical Sciences (ACC & RTCS-2020) 57th Annual Convention of Chemists” 2020.
