ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

The Indian Society of Criminology is a pioneer organization in the field of crime research and criminology in the nation. It was established in the year 1970, with the objective that the study and application of Criminology as a scientific discipline should be implemented in a broad scale in the society. The society boasts a membership of hundreds of members, both from India and abroad, comprising of criminologists, sociologists, psychologists, politicians, advocates, judges, social workers, and academicians. By organising the various annual conferences, lectures, and other such events, the Society aims to further its objectives of effective detection and prevention of crime while engaging the society in implementing the criminological approach. The previous annual conferences had been conducted at various Universities/ Institutes of national importance, where contemporary issues in the field of criminology have been discussed by the participants with a view to bring about measurable social change. The ultimate goal of the conferences is to ensure that the legislators, policy makers, and enforcement officials can benefit from the contemporary developments of criminology, both at the state and the national levels.

Science and technology have advanced quickly in the 21st century, affecting every aspect of life. Crime and criminology are no longer seen as separate fields in the modern world; rather, it is understood that they must be examined in relation to a number of other disciplines. Political science, sociology, psychology, anthropology, economics, and other multidisciplinary fields are among them. One of the most significant recent breakthroughs towards crime prevention has been a multidisciplinary approach to criminology. This is a significant development, given that criminology aims to avoid crime occurrences in society rather than only gain a theoretical grasp of criminal behaviours. n an ever-changing world, criminology, law, and forensic science are pillars of modern society’s criminal justice system.

The “International Conference on Recent Trends in Criminology, Law, and Forensic Science” seeks to unite global experts, scholars, and practitioners in a shared mission to empower our criminal justice systems for the challenges of the 21st century and beyond. This conference aims to explore emerging trends and innovations within these critical fields. We endeavour to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, encouraging the cross-pollination of ideas and expertise, ultimately working towards a holistic understanding of contemporary criminal justice challenges. Our objectives encompass not only knowledge dissemination but the practical application of this knowledge to strengthen global justice systems.

By equipping participants with the latest research, technologies, and best practices, we hope to create a fair, effective, and adaptable criminal justice system to address the complex, dynamic nature of crime in the 21st century.
We invite researchers, policymakers, and professionals to join us in this endeavour. Let us collectively shape the future of criminal justice, promote social justice, and build a safer, more equitable world through this conference. The “International Conference on Recent Trends in Criminology, Law, and Forensic Science” aspires to create a dynamic, informative, and inclusive environment where knowledge, innovation, and best practices intersect to advance the cause of justice.
